Producers' winery and unique
œno-entertainment stopover in Southern Burgundy

A unique place for all dedicated to the vine and the wines of Burgundy.

Our history...

A family cooperative winery founded in 1929 by Victor Chapuis, its first president, the Mancey winery brings together the winegrowers of 3 villages in Saône-et-Loire, Southern Burgundy: Mancey, Royer and Vers…

Matescense : pleasure wines

These wines are made by gentle pressing to preserve all the fruit aromas. A beautiful freshness characterises the nose and the mouth feel is light and gourmet.

These are pleasure wines par excellence! They can be served as aperitifs, with salads, ceviche or steamed fish for the white, and grilled meats, savoury tarts and cold meats for the rosé and the red.

Storage: 1 to 3 years

Details of appellations: white Mâcon 100% Chardonnay, rosé Mâcon 100% Gamay and red Mâcon 100% Gamay.

Les Cadoles :
Terroir Cuvées

A selection of plots from the vines near the old dry stone winegrowers’ shelters that are part of the heritage of Mancey and the surrounding villages = the cadoles. The clay-limestone soil reveals a deep nose and a fresh, crisp attack on the palate. Wines of character, they are ideal for aperitifs, with vegetables terrines or white fish for the white, and grilled red meats, poached eggs in red wine sauce (meurette), game birds or cheeses for the reds.

Storage: 2 to 5 years

Details of appellations: white Mâcon-Mancey 100% Chardonnay, red Mâcon-Mancey 100% Gamay, red Bourgogne 100% Pinot Noir.

Les Essentielles : Cuvées of old vines

The oldest vines (aged between 45 and 70 years) of our different winegrowers are brought together in these cuvées to produce this range of rich, full-bodied wines. The nose is both complex, fruity and spicy, and the palate is round and full of a beautiful persistence. Their strength means that they will go well with rich dishes such as poultry in cream sauce, snails in parsley sauce or mature Comté cheese for the whites, and paellas, red meats in sauce or soft cheeses for the reds.

Storage: 3 to 6 years

Details of appellations: white Mâcon-Mancey 100% Chardonnay, red Mâcon-Mancey 100% Gamay, red Bourgogne 100% Pinot Noir (barrel ageing 100% new barrels).

Abbatia : prestige cuvées

The wines come from the best plots in the village of Mancey on south-east facing slopes. Their structure is rich and ample, with a fine woody and vanilla nose due to their ageing in oak barrels. The white wines are round and fat, while the reds have well-melted, supple tannins.

These wines will be suitable for dishes such as salmon tartar, scallops or a fillet of pikeperch with beurre blanc for the white wine.

For the reds, they will go well with a duck breast, a fine rib of beef or even game in sauce.

The Crémant de Bourgogne is finely wooded with a light and elegant bubble, its floral notes and its hint of vivacity give it a very nice balance in the mouth. To be enjoyed as an aperitif or with dessert.

Storage: 4 to 7 years, 2 years maximum for Crémant.

Details of appellations: white Mâcon-Mancey 100% Chardonnay, red Mâcon-Mancey 100% Gamay, red Bourgogne 100% Pinot Noir. Crémant de Bourgogne 100% Chardonnay vintage.

Crémants de Bourgogne :

Vines on the slopes of Royer, Mancey and Vers, harvested by hand. Our Crémants de Bourgogne are made with precision and finesse. The ageing on laths is variable (from 12 to 36 months depending on the cuvées).

The disgorging is done on site in our wineries to ensure the best possible quality. As an aperitif or with dessert, they are synonymous with pleasure and conviviality.

Details of appellations:

  • white Crémant de Bourgogne « Guinguette » extra dry: pinot noir and chardonnay
  • Crémant de Bourgogne Brut Réserve: aligoté, gamay, chardonnay, pinot noir
  • Rosé Crémant de Bourgogne Brut: pinot noir and gamay
  • Crémant de Bourgogne blanc de blancs: 90% chardonnay, 10% aligoté
  • Crémant de Bourgogne blanc de noirs vintage: pinot noir et gamay
